National Cyber Security Awareness Program Report

In view of National Cyber Security Awareness month (NSSAM), the Health and Social Welfare Committee of the Students Nurses Association (SNA) 2025, 必威体育betway888 College of Nursing, 必威体育betway888 Academy of Higher Education, 必威体育betway888 conducted an awareness programme for third semester BSc Nursing students of MCON, on 30th October 2025 from 3.30 pm to 4.00 pm in Lecture Hall 2, 3rd floor, Basic Science building, 必威体育betway888. Mr Nilesh, a Police constable from the Technical Cell of the Cyber Crime Police Station in Udupi district, Karnataka,was the resource person. The session focused on the wise use of social media, protecting the digital identity, avoiding suspicious links, unknown downloads, phishing emails, cyberbullying, keeping the software updated, using trusted networks and respecting others online. There were 156 students who actively participated. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms Rosemi Ann Reji. The overall programme was coordinated by Ms Rosemi Ann Reji, 7th semester BSc nursing and Mr Sankar P, 5th semester student, under the guidance of Mrs Janet Alva, Assistant Professor, and Dr Shalini G Nayak, Assistant Professor, Senior Scale, Department of Medical Surgical Nursing, MCON, MAHE, 必威体育betway888. This initiative is in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4: Quality Education.
