Workshop on 必威体育betway888 Methods was conducted for Principals and Professors in The Akash Hall, Fortune Inn Valley View, 必威体育betway888. The sessions were taken by international speaker Dr. Denise F. Poli, Professor, Griffith Health Institute, Griffith University, Queensland Australia and author of the book ‘Nursing 必威体育betway888: Generating and Assessing Evidence for Nursing Practice.’


Session started with Introduction and Welcome address by Dean and Director of Nursing Education, 必威体育betway888 Academy of Higher Education. The Master of ceremony for the workshop was Dr Elsa Sanatombi Devi, Professor, 必威体育betway888 College of Nursing 必威体育betway888.

She has taken the sessions on:
? Challenges and opportunities for the next generation of nurse researchers
? New challenges in measurement: The measurement of change
? The challenge of developing and testing complex nursing interventions
? Challenges in qualitative and mixed methods research.
?

In her talk she emphasised during her speech that “Nurses need to look into new opportunities but not forgetting its challenges. Mixed method as of today is gaining its biggest interest. Innovation is buzz word today as funding agencies have a lot to support for the momentous change”
She also told that that Systematic review, which will bring change in the evidence based practices. She also affirmed that clinical significance or importance as the foremost in change measurement strategies.


“Qualitative research can lead to into quite important ventures through rich narrative materials using a flexible research design. Credibility, dependability, conformability, transferability and authenticity is the key to trustworthy research”
Programme was attended by 38 national and international delegates who appreciated the workshop as extremely useful.

Another workshop on Systematic Reviews was conducted at Utsav Hall, Fortune Inn Valley View, 必威体育betway888, which was a parallel session. The speaker for the workshop was Dr. Kader Parahoo, Professor, Institute of Nursing and Health 必威体育betway888 University of Ulster Colraine, Northern Ireland and author of the book ‘Nursing 必威体育betway888: Principles, Process and Issues.’ Session started with Introduction and Welcome address by given by Associate Dean. Master of ceremony for the workshop was Dr Baby S Nayak, Professor, 必威体育betway888 College of Nursing 必威体育betway888. ?

He has taken a very informative sessions on the following sessions:
? Introduction to systematic reviews & Formulating systematic review questions
? Setting inclusion and exclusion criteria
? Searching and selecting the evidence
? Appraising the evidence & Analysis and synthesize of the evidence.
? Concluding and making recommendations.


In his talk he taught on formulating systematic review questions and selecting evidence with the help of group work. “Previous reviews will give more ideas” said the speaker. The whole workshop was a group work. Programme was attended by 29 national and international delegates who appreciated the workshop.
