Mr. Syed Anwar Ali S serves as the Deputy Director – Physical Education & Sports at MAHE Bengaluru and is a passionate educator, researcher, and sports administrator with over eight years of experience in the field. He holds postgraduate and M.Phil. degrees in Physical Education and is currently pursuing his Ph.D., focusing on advanced training methodologies and sports biomechanics. An accomplished athlete himself, Mr. Syed has represented at 17 National Championships and 5 All India University tournaments in handball. His practical insights into competitive sports have shaped his approach to training and athlete development. He is also a World Rugby Level 1 Certified Coach, committed to introducing and nurturing rugby at the university level. Mr. Syed has made significant contributions to sports education through his involvement in curriculum development for CISCE and ISC boards, and as a Board of Studies member for Bengaluru North University and Bengaluru City University. His administrative capabilities are reflected in his role as Nodal Officer for major sporting events, including the Khelo India University Games, where he played a pivotal role in shaping sports policy and infrastructure. With ongoing research in sports science, published journal articles, and regular participation in international conferences, Mr. Syed continues to bridge the gap between academic theory and field practice. His holistic and progressive approach makes him a key contributor to the advancement of physical education and sports management in India.
