It was a commemorative event in honour of the late Dr. Premanand Kamath, celebrating his legacy and contributions to the institution and the dental fraternity. The program began at 9:30 AM with a breakfast session, followed by the inaugural ceremony at 10:00 AM. The ceremony commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Arathi Rao and an overview of the endowment by Dr. Madhu Mathews. This was followed by the unveiling of the MMAA logo and a special talk titled “Life and Legacy of Late Dr. Premanand Kamath” delivered by Dr. Kundabala M. The event featured addresses by the Guest of Honour, the Dean, and the Chief Guest, along with heartfelt reminiscences shared by alumni, reflecting on Dr. Kamath’s impact as a teacher and mentor. Dr. Vatsala Kamath, wife of the late Dr. Kamath, also shared a personal note, adding an emotional touch to the proceedings. Dr. Manuel S Thomas introduced the resource faculty, and the ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Nidhin Philip. A short tea and coffee break followed from 10:45 to 11:00 AM. The final session of the day was a guest lecture delivered by Dr. Arvind Shenoy, which provided insightful academic discourse and enriched the participants' knowledge.
